ASM’s in house tooling facility was set up to provide short lead times to our clients in response to market demand, particularly in the East Midlands area.
Our skilled operators use the latest equipment to manufacture components to exacting standards from materials including MDF and plastic.
We specialise in tooling for the vacuum forming industry and can produce all the tooling necessary to successfully manufacture your design, which we can help design if you only have a concept or idea in your head!
CNC MACHINING
CNC machining involves removing material from a solid block with a cutting tool until the desired part/shape is produced.
At ASM, our suite of 3 axis router/milling machines can rapidly and efficiently precisioncut a variety of materials, such as MDF, some metals, plastics, or wood into a finished part.
Our facilities are geared to producing parts at low cost and short lead times so are ideal for one off prototypes and small batch sizes, as well as multiple units.
CAD/CAM FACILITIES
Using the latest computer aided design and computer aided manufacturing packages enables ASM to provide a high quality, accurate and fast service from start to finish.
By utilising high speed tool paths we can reduce production times and minimise material usage.
Our CAD facilities include AutoCAD and SolidWorks. We can work with a wide range of file formats including DXF, STL and IGES.

PROJECTS
We have several CNC machines which have created tools from MDF, laminate and resin.
We have produced tools for a number of solutions and we will soon have a solution for machining steel tools:
